
SuperDraft underway!
January 12, 2007The MLS SuperDraft is underway, and in the early going there is a distinct ACC flavor. The first six picks all came from ACC schools, including Toronto FC’s #1 overall Maurice “Don’t call me Freddy” Edu (Maryland), with one more Terp, 2 from UVA, and one each from Wake Forest and UNC rounding out the six.
DC United has selected Bryan Arguez, a 6′2, 165 pound member of the US U-20 MNT that plays both defender and midfielder and turns 18 tomorrow.

UPDATE - 2:06pm
With their 2nd pick, United selected Brad North, a 6′1 forward from Northwestern. This season he scored 9 goals in 22 games (17 starts) after scoring 8 in 18 in 2005.
North was taken 24th overall, and United next selects 32nd overall and then 37th.
