A 2nd minute strike by Ali Andrzejewski was enough, but Andrzejewski added one more, and the Freedom got single goals from Lori Lindsey and Christie Welsh to stake a 4-0 halftime lead, before getting one more from Anabel Jimenez in the 2nd half before rounding out the scoring on Sunday at RFK. The match won’t count in the standings, as it was just an exhibition.
Majestics 0 - 1 Jersey Sky Blue
The visiting Sky Blue scored the only goal of the match four minutes after halftime. The Majestics still sit on 1 win from 8 matches, and a long way from the playoff berth that they earned a year ago.
